Interpreting

Interpret with full knowledge *

Interpreting is a gateway that allows communication with the Other. It is an operation that consists of verbally translating the words of a speaker or the dialogue of two or more people.
Interpreting is one of the most difficult skills a linguist can master.

That’s why Liaisons offers you a network of experienced professional interpreters. All you have to do is determine the type of event so that we offer the right interpretation mode.

* Whatever the mode of the desired interpretation, Liaisons asks you to specify beforehand the date of your event, the nature of your activity, as well as the theme or subject that will be covered.

Conference or simultaneous interpreting

From soundproof booths, the conference interpreter simultaneously translates the speaker’s message. The challenge he faces is to convey the idea expressed by this speaker at professional seminars or bilateral and even multilateral exchanges, while adapting his tone and his impressions in a natural and smooth way.

Interprétation consécutive ou de liaison

Consecutive interpreting

It consists of taking notes during a meeting or statement, and then reproducing the speaker’s remarks in another language. These notes allow the consecutive interpreter not to overload his memory, and verify that he has not forgotten anything.

Whispering or whispered interpreting

If the previous modes of interpreting are addressed to a large audience, whispering is intended for one person. In this particular mode, the speaker speaks without pause and the interpreter translates to his client in a low voice what is said at the meeting.
